Who We Are

Emerald Sound Outfitters was founded by Tyler Grogan after moving from Fort Bragg, NC. After proudly serving 9 years in the army, he decided to settle down with his family to turn his passion into a lifestyle. When he's not dedicated to being a family man, during the offseason decoys are made and new locations are ventured! Constantly learning and adapting so that you have the most successful and laidback sea duck hunting experience as possible.

At Emerald Sound, our mission is to offer exceptional hunting expeditions focused on harvesting unique trophy birds. Harvesting your dream bird will be achieved either on the boat with the blind up or from the layout boat hunting from within the spread. For groups larger than 4 we have the luxury of offering hunting from the shoreline. We specialize in providing thrilling experiences for hunters seeking one of a kind gems while maintain the highest standards of professionalism and most importantly safety. Our Decoys

We pride ourselves in guiding over all handcrafted, made in-house decoys. In order to stay versatile and successful we have a decoy to match the PNW waterfowl species that you are wanting to chase. Tell the captain while booking your hunt which species is your focus and the spread will reflect!

After the hunt one ESO decoy per day that you book will be available to purchase. Commemorate your time with us not only by the trophy bird, but with an ESO decoy from the spread that brought him in! Due to high demand decoys are limited per client so that we may continue to hunt over a spread throughout the season.

Washington is a sea duck hunting paradise! Although many different birds can be found on the saltwater in Washington, we specifically target eleven different species. Those species found at sea include:
